Juliet commenced her legal career in the travel and aviation industry in England, working for a boutique firm representing insurers and self-insured travel companies and airlines, predominantly in public liability claims. She specialised in defending class actions, and appeared in a number of matters in the Royal Courts of Justice.
Since joining Wotton + Kearney in 2007, Juliet has specialised in insurance litigation including public and products liability, professional indemnity, contractual recovery actions and policy interpretation. Juliet is a member of our Public and Products Liability and Construction Focus Groups.
Juliet has a particular interest in the regulation and proportionality of legal costs and is a member of the NSW Law Society Costs Working Group. She also provides pro-bono advice through the Public Interest Law Clearance House (PILCH).

- defending hospitality claims for injuries sustained in hotels, pubs, and golf courses
- acting in numerous occupier's liability claims on behalf of owners, managers, contractors and cleaners of commercial retail premises
- defending a property damage claim for costs incurred in repairing machinery as a result of a faulty component supplied by an Italian company
- acting for a New York domiciled lawyer for a professional negligence claim in NSW
- advising insurers, reinsurers and insureds in relation to policy coverage issues
- appearing as an advocate on behalf of insurers at mediations and interlocutory applications
