Team Wotton + Kearney take to Sydney’s streets for the SMH Half Marathon

While most of us were still fast asleep in bed, early on Sunday morning 11 members of Wotton + Kearney’s Sydney office took to the city’s roads to compete in the Sydney Morning Herald 21.1km Half Marathon. It was a great morning to be out and about and clearly the wonderful weather and scenery inspired our runners as the team came 11th out of the 95 teams who entered!

This was in no small part down to the amazing efforts of Alex Hunt and Faith Geraghty who crossed the finish line in awe-inspiring times of 1:27:09 and 1:31:58 respectively! All members of the team recorded fantastic times – congratulations to you all!

The race also gave us the opportunity to help Senior Associate and Pro Bono Coordinator Heidi Nash-Smith in her fund-raising efforts for the Heart Foundation. Heidi will be competing in November’s New York marathon and not only has to run the 42km course but also needs to raise $7,500 for the Foundation.
