Congratulations to Wotton + Kearney Partner and Head of Pro Bono Heidi Nash-Smith, who was named the winner of the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Pro Bono Award on Friday 17 October.

It was a great evening at Melbourne’s Langham Hotel, with thought provoking speeches from several notable female members of the legal world, including MC Kate Ashmor, keynote speaker Fiona McLeod SC and The Hon Justice Ruth McColl AO, winner of the Lasting Legacy Award.

Heidi’s nomination met with high praise from the judges and also from Tanya Jackson-Vaughan, Executive Director of the Refugee Advice and Casework Service, who provided Heidi with a glowing reference.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners on their achievements, which are testament to their contribution to the law, and especially to Heidi for her very well-deserved win!
