W+K Pro Bono Partner Heidi Nash-Smith took part in a special episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show podcast to share her experience of working with NGO So They Can through the firm’s Community Footprint program.

Heidi and Sydney barrister Hugh Stowe joined host Jerome Doraisamy to discuss how they each became involved in So They Can, their experience visiting some of the organisation’s education projects in Africa, and how such work has offered a new perspective on the importance of social justice and legal practice. Heidi also talks about the benefits of Wotton + Kearney’s involvement with So They Can and why it is important for Australian lawyers to become more involved with causes which help vulnerable communities to fight for justice. You can listen to the full podcast below.
