Avram specialises in digital investigations and litigation involving electronic evidence. He has been closely involved with, and overseen, matters involving cross-border litigation, complex multi-party litigation, internal investigations, internal audits, corporate compliance, digital forensics, cybersecurity and regulatory response. He is best known for his ability to manage risks with a defensible workflow, while also using out-of-the-box techniques to assist clients.

Avram has assisted on several Australian-based regulatory matters that have involved ASIC, ATO and the ACCC. Avram has also assisted on international matters involving US-based regulators, including the DOJ and SEC, some of which have involved FCPA investigations. Additionally, he has developed and managed an ongoing solution to efficiently respond to Standing Order 52s.

He has helped clients prepare for production notices from the Royal Commission by assessing potentially relevant data sources and devising workflows to efficiently manage the collection, analysis, review and production of data. He has also managed highly sensitive matters, leveraging artificial intelligence for the purpose of identifying personally identifiable information in security incidents and breaches.

Avram has broad experience in forensic data analytics, eDiscovery and technology assisted reviews (in both English and Chinese). He has also helped develop solutions involving photo forensics, automated text extraction enablement, web crawling and data aggregation, and advanced analytics fraud scorecard business solutions.

Before joining Wotton + Kearney, Avram developed and led two eDiscovery consulting groups for one of the largest eDiscovery service providers in APAC (in Sydney and India) as a Consulting Lead. These teams advised major law firms and Fortune 500 corporates. Before that, Avram was a Manager at a Big Four accounting firm in China, where he helped oversee and manage an eDiscovery and digital forensics team to support both domestic and international matters.

Avram has achieved Relativity Expert status by gaining the following certifications: Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), Relativity Analytics Specialist and Relativity Processing Specialist. He also holds the industry certifications in RelativityOne Certified Pro, Nuix Discover Case Manager and Brainspace Certified Administrator.
