Sam, a special counsel in our Financial Lines team, brings extensive experience in handling complex coverage matters and providing front-end regulatory advice. Her background includes acting as coverage and monitoring counsel for major class actions in Australia, as well as advising on regulatory issues for local and global insurers.

Sam is also the firm’s Legal and Technical Insights Lead. In this dual role, Sam combines her legal expertise with a proactive approach to thought leadership and emerging risks. Clients benefit not only from her legal advice, but also from her strategic and technical insights, including through:

• Guidance on regulatory changes – providing advice in understanding and managing regulatory changes so that clients have the information they need to stay informed about developments which affect their portfolios.
• Support in policy and advocacy work – helping to shape policies and navigate government consultations including assisting with preparing submissions and advocating for clients in regulatory discussions.
• Strategic legal research – supporting internal business initiatives and management functions by providing legal research and insights.
• Educational support – presenting seminars and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions on the latest legal insights and broader issues impacting the insurance industry at large.
