Wotton + Kearney, in partnership with the Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG), is pleased to announce the launch of the annual W+K APIG Scholarship aimed at supporting the career development of a young insurance professional in Australia practising in professional indemnity and financial lines insurance.

The scholarship recognises an outstanding contribution to the industry by a young APIG member each year with the inaugural winner benefiting from a sponsorship package which includes:

  • attendance at the 3 day Professional Indemnity Forum (PIF) Conference to be held in the UK in July 2016
  • a planned visit to the Lloyd’s market in London
  • $4,000 towards return economy airfares and transfers
  • $3,500 towards accommodation and spending.

Candidates are required to produce a brief submission outlining their contribution to financial lines insurance and their views on the present and/or future of the industry from a perspective that affects their position. The winner will be selected by a judging panel comprising four APIG Committee members and one representative from W+K, with the winner announced on 11 December.

W+K is delighted to partner with APIG in promoting such a positive initiative to help attract and retain the best talent to this important part of the insurance market, and we encourage all eligible candidates to apply for this invaluable career experience.

Submissions are now open with full details and application forms available from the APIG website.
