W+K awarded highest rankings in preeminent legal market reviews
We are delighted that Wotton + Kearney has again been recognised in both the Chambers and Partners Asia Pacific, and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific directories for our specialist insurance expertise alongside full service top tier and international law firms in both Australia and New Zealand. These rankings are developed based on independent research with clients in the form of in depth interviews across the globe.
W+K has been recognised as a Top Tier firm for Insurance in both Australia and New Zealand in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, with Partners Cain Jackson (Melbourne), Antony Holden (Wellington) and Mathew Francis (Auckland) listed as leading individuals. We were pleased to also see Auckland Senior Associates Andrew Moore and Hugh King named as Next Generation Lawyers.
In the 2018 edition of Chambers Asia Pacific, we have maintained our Band 1 Insurance firm ranking for Australia for the 6th consecutive year, with our Chief Executive Partner David Kearney being recognised as the only Eminent Practitioner. Partners Phillip Wotton and Andrew Moore (Sydney), Antony Holden (Wellington) and Mathew Francis (Auckland) were also recognised as notable practitioners.
Some of the endorsements we received from our clients included:
- “They’re the best in the market, they’re across all of the matters in the market and they’re very pragmatic; they’re the go-to people for most of the insurers in Australia.” Chambers Asia Pacific 2018
- The (New Zealand) group provides ‘a specialised and cost-effective service’ that clients describe as ‘top tier’. Chambers Asia Pacific 2018
- ‘The best in class for insurance work in Australia’, provides ‘exceptional client service that consistently delivers’ and its team, led by David Kearney, ‘always goes above and beyond to meet expectations’. The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, 2018
