W+K Financial Lines specialist David Frew named a Rising Star
Wotton + Kearney is delighted to announce that Senior Associate David Frew has been named in Australasian Lawyer’s 2020 Rising Stars List released this week. The list recognises a small group of up-and-coming stars in the Australian legal profession who are committed to making a difference and are showing signs of becoming the industry’s future leaders.
David is based in the firm’s Sydney office and has become an integral part of the Australian financial lines team, working on several large high-profile insurance coverage pieces including the Financial Services Royal Commission and the Crown Casino and Iluka mining class actions. He manages a significant volume of claims from subrogated recoveries to coverage work on complex historical claims, professional indemnity across a range of industries, and management of ASIC ordered remediation programs for some of the largest financial institutions in Australia.
David also plays a major role in W+K’s Community Footprint program and was a finalist for the 2019 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award for Pro Bono. In addition to his busy practice, he sits on firm committees for diversity and inclusion, innovation and social events.
