Wotton + Kearney has been recognised in the top tier for insurance law in both Australia and New Zealand for the second year running by clients interviewed for The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019 directory of lawyers and law firms.

The recognition reflects the firm’s one focus on insurance and excellence in assisting clients with their specialist insurance needs.

Partners Cain Jackson in Melbourne, Anthony Holden in Wellington and Mathew Francis in Auckland are called out as “leading individuals” in their fields, and Special Counsel Hugh King and Andrew Moore, Senior Associate, also in Auckland, are recognised for the second year in a row as “next generation lawyers”. But the firm’s top tier position reflects the depth of talent and expertise across the firm.

The technical excellence and commercial focus of partners Adam Chylek, Andrew Moore, Patrick Boardman, Richard Flinn, Sophie Lucas, Mark Anderson and Rebecca Scott are highlighted by clients. Kristine Vale and Aisha Lala, Special Counsel, are both noted as “excellent operators” and Kylie Bates, Senior Associate, is commended for “achieving excellent results”.

Remarking on the firm’s top position in the 2019 rankings, David Kearney said, “We’re very proud that Wotton + Kearney has been consistently endorsed again as a top-tier insurance firm by our clients in Australia and New Zealand. These major legal directories are important to us as they are directly based on client feedback and reflect the great efforts of the whole W+K team.”
